Operated by The DiCarlo Family Since 1966
Fine Italian Food & Wine
Dallas’ true authentic Italian imported food and wine store. Voted best “Italian Sub” and “Muffuletta” by The Dallas Observer.
The DiCarlo family has been in the grocery store business for over 50 years. As the 3rd generation to continue running the family business, that their father and grandfather began in 1966, brothers Mike and Paul work together and run the store.
In 2005 the brothers decided to concentrate their focus on Italian foods and on their own Italian Heritage. With ONLY Italian wines stocked on the shelves, the Circolo del Vino, our wine room, was added and has become a venue for Italian wine tastings and wine dinners.
The History Of Jimmy's Food Store
The DiCarlo Family
The DiCarlo family has been in the grocery store business for over 50 years with Jimmy’s Food Store opening in August 1966. After starting to work in the store as teenagers, brothers Mike and Paul continue to work together and run the store. After a devastating fire in 2004 destroyed the store, upon reopening the brothers decided to concentrate their focus on Italian foods and on their own Italian Heritage.
Selling housemade sauces, sausages, meatballs, lasagnas and pizzas, the store has become a favorite among the Native Italians, Italian Americans, and New York Italians. We are pleased, that several leading restaurants in the Dallas serve “Jimmy’s Sausage” on their menu. Jimmy’s stocks only Italian wines and has every region in Italy represented. We are proud to host Italian vineyard owners and winemakers from throughout Italy in our Circolo del Vino (wine room) at seated wine tastings/dinners.

TESTIMONIALS
Well. What can you say about Jimmy's? Wine, cheese, meat, sandwiches. produce, pasta. Did I mention wine? And sandwiches? And all that other stuff? It's just a great, great food store. For, you know, wine, and sandwiches!

Yelp
This place is truly legit. And because this place already has almost 5 stars and over 700 reviews on yelp there's no need for me to repeat what everyone else has said. So get in your car and go check it out for yourself. Or walk there like I did. I recommend the Italian sub and a bottle of red wine. Enjoy!

Yelp
I come from a large Italian family. Walking into Jimmy's is like being home again. They know us by name, they treat us like family, and the service is always great. Their selection is fantastic, if overwhelming. You could wander through their narrow aisles endlessly, accidentally beginning a journey that takes you from pasta to paninis. Going to Jimmy's is like stepping into a Brooklyn deli. You must go, even if it's just for the experience. Oh, and try the smoked mozzarella. It's divine!

Amazing and all Italian! Picked up a frozen lasagna and a bottle of Italian wine. LOL, no other kind there. The place is iconic in Dallas. No other Italian grocery/store like it in the city. You must check this place out if you like anything Italian. It is often packed with customers as it should be, plus it is not a large place. Love the store.

Perfectly Authentic family Italian grocery & deli. Must go for sandwiches & subs, highly recommend muffaleta. Room with extra seating tucked away in the back behind the deli counter makes you feel like one of the family. Don’t miss the wine! Absolutely fantastic selection of all the best, hard to find Italian wines from the serious, most respected producers!
